MAORILAND PICTURES.

' \ "THE GREAT GAME." TO-NIGHT. i Tins famous picture, to be shown to-night, should draw a crowded house. It is an all-British film—cast, scenery, atmosphere, and artists. "The Great Game" is a typical Nat Could story. It deals with high life and racehorses intermingled with a basic drama of human emotions and love interest. The famous Bombardier Wells is an admirable hero, for his line physique and clean lighting methods provides a .vtriking contrast to the underhand .tricks employed by his enemies, He is the son of a wealthy aristocrat, who objects to him marrying an actress. The villain contrives by bribery and trickery to cause the hero's horse to lose the Derby, the shock kills his father, and his son fights his way to fame and fortune. In a rattling good six-round light Wells accounts for his man with a straight left, much to _the discomfort of the bully, and subsequently wins the heart of Beryl Windermere, an actress and a lady. •-;. "MAGDA." TO-MORROW NIGHT. Clara Kimball Young in Sudemann's "Magda," to be shown to-inorrov night at Otaki, is seen in the most dramatic and forceful role she has ever attempted, and that she does full jus- j tice to the part is no small credit to j her. The stage play was immortalised by Sarah Bernhardt, who considered it her most successful role, the English j version was played by Mrs Patrick Campbell, and later by Nance O'Neill j jn New Zealand. Of course. Clam Kimball Young has that rare statesque j beauty that no other exponents of j "Magda" have possessed, and in addition she has in "Magda" to live over episodes of her own life. It is not generally known that she was her- ' self a grand opera prima donna, and owing to the loss of her voice through illness had to take to the screen. Thus the screen gained what the operatic lost, a lovely and talented star. , SANDER AND SONS' PURE VOLATILE EUCALYPTI EXTRACT. Can be obtained from all chemists and stores. There is no reason for putting tip with inferior brands, because you can obtain "SANDER'S," which is not only recognised by the highest Medical Authorities, but proved by the Supreme Court, Melbourne, the best. SANDER'S EXTRACT is specially manufaetured for medicinal use under the constant, supervision of a medical man. SANDER'S EXTRACT is unequalled for colds, influenza, bronchitis, diarrhoea, flatulence, all infectious diseases, locally for wounds, burns, ulcers, piles, itching, chilblain. Mr I. Hopkins, Auckland, says:—"l used SANDER'S EXTRACT for the last 42 years with the very best results. Once a substitute was given me—-a larger bottle at the same price: result, no good. Only SANDER'S EXTRACT eaters niy house."—Advt.
