Mr Ulie Shannon gave every satisfaction a« judge at the Masterton meeting. His decisions were promptly given, and he made a refreshing innovation in hoisting the four first horses, instead of only three. Mr Shannon will act as judge at the whole of the Wairarapa meetings. Mr W. R. Keniball, the Masterton sportsman, has registered a third set of colours, white jacket, red band and black cap. Mr Kembnll's team is now easily the biggest at present in training in the Dominion.
