'Die annual general meeting of tht Paraparauiuu aucl District Hortieul tural Society was hr-lil on 14th inst The weather was unfavourable, but nevertheless, twelve members attend cd. Mr Malcolm Maclean presided Officials and committees were appoint ed, Mrs Hadfield being patroness and Mr Malcolm Maclean president.
. The rules were revised and some slight alterations made.
The treasurer's report showed a balance in the bank, and was con sidered highly satisfactory. It was decided that two shows br held next year—the Autumn Show oi Wednesday. 9th March, and the Sprin; Show on Wednesday, 7th September The committee was instructed to re vise the prize lists and have the same printed.
