MANAWATU SHOW.
This fixture, which takes place on the 3rd, 4th and sth November, promises to keep the Association’s good name for progress well to the fore. The grounds are being improved on every side, notable amongst the improvements is the painting of the grandstand. Entries for the live stock are open until Saturday, lfitli October, and these include the ring events, which are numerous and well worthy of note, also the dog entries.
If any intending exhibitor has not vet received a schedule he should waste no time in applying for one, which will be forwarded to him.
In the dairy cattle section this year a new clause has been inserted by which registered purebred cattle are not eligible. This should give the smaller farmer not specialising in purebred stock a better chance. The Romney' Marsh sheep in natural condition classes again appear on this year’s list. They proved very success-, ful last year, and it is anticipated that in time they will outlive the other classes.
