WATERSIDE TROUBLE.
♦ NO SETTLEMENT YET. There is no sign of a settlement of the waterside trouble at Wellington. The men were paid on Friday for the previous week’s work, several hundred receiving at least £6, while a number made higher wages. D is thought that at the usual monthly union meeting on Tuesday proposals will be male which may result in a settleiAent. Meanwhile the Government in not intervening in the matter.
