SPORTING.
The management of the gates, etc., at the Otaki races was in the hands of Mr J. Southey Fowler, and it is pleasing to record that under his able guidance everything passed off most successfully. Although large sums of money passed through his hands there were no mistakes, and this alone speaks volumes for Mr Fowler and his tine staff of assistants.
