RIFLE SHOOTING.
I’OXTON RIFLE CLUB. The annual meeting of the above was held’ last Friday'night. The annual balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £IS odd. Air C. li. Symons, ex-presidcut of the club, who was unable to accept: re-election as president, was elected a life member of the club. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: — Patron, Air Frank Robinson; president. Air J. N. Rider; vice-president.-, .Messrs .S- Head, J. Hartley, C. Rand, and H. AlcKegney; secretary and treasurer, Air H. Claris; assistant secretary, Air H. Frankland; auditor, Air F. D. Wbiblcy; committee, Messrs H. Frankland, R. Rand, \V. Symons, -V. Barnard, and A. S. Walsh; selection committee Messrs A. Barnard, 8. Head and J. Hartley; liandicappers, Aiessrs -J. X. Rider and H. Frankland.
On Labour Day (October 25th) a team from the Wellington (suburbs ltiile Club is visiting Levin, and a triangular match between that club
and the Levin and Foxton Clubs will be tiled at Levin.
It was decided to 1 open the season on .Saturday, October Pth, with a match between teams selected by the president and vice-president.
