THE 'CITY OF AUCK LAND. '
The following paragraph, which wclip from the “Methodist Times,’’ wil be read with interest: —
“Wednesday, September 15, was the fiftieth anniversary of the sailing of the ship City of Auckland, Captain Ashby, from Gravesend, England, to. Auckland, -New Zealand. Among hopassengers were the Rev. H. B. and Airs Redstone and two children, lli Revs. J. S. Smalley, J- J. Lewis, F. W. Isitt, and AX’. J. Williams. Mis--Osborn, who came out to be manic-U to the Rev. Joseph Berry, was also a passenger, as well as Air XX'. F. Massey, the present Prime Alinistor of New Zealand. At that time Air Massey wa: a lad in his early teens. Of the group of passengers referred to two only have passed away, Air Redstone and Afr Isitt. The City of Auckland ai rived in Auckland on Sunday, Lo- em- , ber 11, 1870.
