The monthly meeting of the Herowhenua County Council takes place tomorrow. The Otaki Band played a number of selections, both outside and inside the Oiaki Theatre on Wednesday evening, on the occasion of the Bulb Show. The music was much appreciated, and the Band deserves thanks for its kindness in giving ils services gratis. Mr Brandon’s trophy for most points in the amateur daffodil sections, and the trophy for the best trumpet bloom in the show. In addi- | iron. His blooms were remarkably fine, and the judge in formed our reporter that Mr Weightman set up his exhibits in a gpeei&Uv attractive style, which added considerably to the pleasure of inspecting them.
