QUESTION OF DISTRIBUTION,

The Ilorovvhenua County Council wrote the Levan Boro ugh Council on Tuesday night that a further conference of local bodies was being called for Saturday, September 25, at 11 a.tii , regarding matters relating to the development of the Mangahao scheme, and the advisability or otherwise of forming a board or boards under the “Electrical Tower Boards Act, HUS.’’ The Chief Electrical Engineer had promised to be present, and the Council asked that representatives from the Borough Council be present. The Mayor (Air Mathcson) said it would be remembered that a conference was arranged in July last, but unfortunately the Departmental officer could not attend, and the conference was deferred. This had now been lixed for ihe 25th-inst. The former borough representatives, the Mayor. Cr. Barker and the Town Clerk (Mr Gardener) were appointed to attend tiie forthcoming conference.
