Though entries are not very numerous, owing to the lateness of the season, there n* keen competition in most classes, and tire display i.s one of the iiuest seen in tk.r district. Mr *l. G. WNightman, of Maiton, i one oi the most success!ul exhibitors .if ike amateur section, and also won Mill. Witcliell's trophy for-three v anetie.-' of trumpet daffodils in the open class. Mr Weight man, >eu., of Feilding. exhibits some magnificent seedlings. of which Messrs Fuole. Hobbs amt West bury also have very lino I specimens. Mr Boole is the biggest exhibitor and prize-winner in the open class, having many sections to him- - [ sei f. - The miscellaneous i.doonis and decorative sections, tieiugh small, comprise i some very nice exhibits. The attendance this afternoon vvn very satisfactory, ami a much large; * gathering is expected to-night, who; .music will be s\i]»j>lied by the Band There are several stalls at the show while refreshments are procurable. We strongly advise nil lovers of th > beautiful to make a point, of visiting the show. which will be a revelalio; to those who have m«t kept pare will the rapid progress made among daffo dils of recoin years.
