Mrs C-. Tally, of Levin, yesterday underwent art operation, at a private | hospital in Wellington. i Captain Ban is muck improved in health. He hope- to be able to leave the Otaki Hospital to-aorrow.
Miss Jessie MoncrielT, of CJareville, sister to Mrs W. Burns Smith, of Otaki, is at present on a visit to Otaki for health reasons. Mr T. G. Vincent has disposed of his residence at Levin, and intends leaving that township shortly. He and Mrs Vincent will probably settle in New Plymouth. The death occurred last night at Wellington of Air J. McLellan, well known as proporietor of the Otaki Dairy Co. Deceased has not enjoyed the best of health for some time. The business of the local factory will be carried on as hitherto.
