WAIKANAE NOTES.
Mr M. Kerrigan, an old identity of Waikanae in the past. but. who now lives at Whangarata, is on a visit to Wa ikauae. Whitebait are beginning to make their*appearance in the. local streams, and several small catches art 1 rereported. The severest frosts for some time past are now being experienced, and their continual prevalence is playing havoc with feed, giving farmers who are not blessed with a superabundance of winter feed a most anxious time.
