LEVIN SCHOOL COMMITTEE RESIGNS.

AS A FROTEST. A special meeting of the Levin District High School Committee was held on Tuesday evening last, to consoler what action should be taken in regar‘l to the protest maiic to the Education Board a fortnight, ago in connection with long promised additions to the Levin school. It was reported that the secretary of the Education Board bad stated that he was doing his best to have the y.ork expedited, and would send up an Inspector to report on the matter at an. early date. Mr Thomson said the position was most unsatisfactory. , He contended that, for some reason or other, there was a spirit of antagonism against the school. Whereas other schools in the district had been improved and added to, it had been found impossible to get anything done at Levin, ♦hough they had applied nearly two years ago for much-needed additions to the school buildings. After lengthy discussion, the committee unanimously resolved to resign in a body, as a protest against the Board ’t indifference to its requests.
