OPEN TO-NIGHT. jj The Alsace Stars open their Otaki season at - Bright. Theatre this evening, and. should com,liaiul a Jumper house. A performer who is "featured" on the W«""« is "Argus," described as "the ten vear-old marvel," who gives a capital and mystifying thought reading turn living, while seated blindfolded on the stage the numbers of banknotes and descriptions of coins and other articles, produced among the audience, and answering various questions, often ... a style which produced roars or laughter. Mr Louis Alsace is reported to be an accomplished musician, and introduces the violin and the Alcasephone. while Miss Nita Green is said to possess a golden soprano voice. ine Campbell Brothers will render new and popular items on their concertinas. Sergt. Copeland and his talking doll. Little Nat, in character comic songs, Van the lightning landscape artist', and Miss Collins, solo piamste. complete the company. The box plan is now open at Isherwood's, where seats may be secured without extra Levin "Chronielc." speaking of the performance of the Alsace Company at Levin on Wednesday night, sars:—"lt is a long time since a Lcvm audience has been treated to a performance of such all-round excellence as that presented at Inland's last evening under the experienced direction of Mr Louis Alsace, and it was no; surprising therefore that the audience was in no hurry to quit. Delightful music presented in unique sittings. swift and mystifying mental gymnastics and a smattering of bright comedy comprised the bill of fare which hugely delighted the audience."
