"SUSPENSE." The pictures to bo shown to-morrow night w'ill be exceptionally good, and will include another episode of "Tlic Adventures oi' Stingarce." "Suspense," to be shown to-morrow, is good. The story starts with the disappearance of some submarine plans in (he possession of Admiral West. He is disgraced and dismissed from the service. Ills daughter Ruth, convinced that the theft was the act of German spies, sols out to run them to earth, and clear her father's name. She has a school chum whom she resembles very closely, except that her friend has a birthmark on the side of her face. She changes identities with her chum, who 'iocs on her honeymoon, in order to •jaiii the entree into the society where she '•an best gain information that will help her in her search. Ruth, as Betty Shaw, becomes personal secretary to .Mrs Xtarcia Vandcrhold (Isabel O'-Vladignn) and finds evidence that the "Associated War Charities" of which that lady is secretary is nothing else Ihun a gigantic fake, organised by German spies, of whom tiie leader and organiser is one Henry Wolvert (Frank Stefansky). Wolvert's suspicions are aroused and seeks to compromise Ruth to keep her tongue quiet, but is unsuccessful. Warned by her predecessor, who is foully murdered by the spies, -lie sots out to secure evidence, in obiiinhig which she is discovered. She fights valiantly, but is overpowered, ivhen a detective. Herbert Koss (Harris • ordon) rushes in with some secret service men ami rescues her. la the -■■arch which follows the missing plans lire discovered, and Ruth is enabled to clear her father. ' She marries the rouiig detective, who has fallen in love ivitli her.
