GOLF.
The annual match against the Munawatu Golf Club will be played next Saturday in Palmerston. The. following players will leave by the New Plymouth mail and represent Otaki: Kirk, Touihi, Gray, Simcox (3), TV. St. George. Podevin and Sievers. The secretary of the Otaki Club has received a supply of plus colonel gob balls. Any member requiring same will please- make application to him. Playing for the championship, Gray beat F. S. Simcox after a good contest. Sievers, driving his usual long ball, dis- j posed of Podovin, and M. Simcox put out Hopkins at the 19th hole. ( The committee have decided to increase the local links from a 12-liole course to 15 holes, and hope in a few years if the membership is satisfactory to be able to make it the orthodox is. Three new holes have been decided on j behind the pavilion, and the greens will be started at once to get them in j good order for next season.
