1 The hockey match, played between Alanawats and Horowhenua on Wednesday at Palmerston, wa* won by the former, ■> —1, but the score lx not a true indication of the gauge. The vi*itori, although not fully represented, played well, and were the first to score, bjt eventually form, combination and clever stick work told its tale. With a. few mow: seasoned players the gum.* would have been a much closer one.
