SUPREME COURT.

The following prisoners were arraigned in the Supreme Court at Wellington on Saturday morning before his Honor Mr Justice Chapman for sentence on charges to which they had pleaded guilty. George William Allen, guilty of theft at Wanganui, and false pretences at Otaki, had a long list of previous convictions against him. His Honor said the prisoner had about forty convictoins against him, and he could only be treated as an habitual criminal. He would be sentenced to six months’ imprisonment on each of the three charges for"which he had been arraigned before the court, and declared to be an habitual criminal. Alfred Charles Love and John Olsen, two youths, each 17 years of age, were sentenced to three years' reformative treatment for breaking, entering and theft from dwellings at Waikanae.
