TIIE ENGLISH PIERROTS. BRIGHTS’, THEATRE—TO-NIGHT. That clever combination of versatile artists, the English Pierrots, who were so well and favourably received on the occasions of their previous visits, are again announced to visit the Dominion, still under the direction of Alessrs Will and Rob Thomas, whose names are guarantees of perfection. Some changes have taken place in the personnel of the company since their last visit, but these have tended to strengthen the combination as a whole. There aresixteen members in the present company. and they have the happy knack of carrying their programmes through with delightful ease. The English Pierrots include excellent comedians, whose humour is such that the audience is kept in a constant ripple of merriment throughout tht- entire entertainment. The burlesque comedies and dramas form special features in the programmes presented by this clever company of entertainers. In addition to which lias been introduced an extremely tine instrumental quartette of four lady members—all entirely new to the company. This acquisition has caused very favourable comment from both press and public in Australia, where the English Pierrots have recently terminated a 52-weeks* consecutive season in Perth, and twelve weeks in Melbourne. All the male members are still with the combination, including W. P. Turner, the very droll comedian, and Charles Lawrence, entertainer. The programmes presented by the English Pierrots are always referred to as being singularly dean, refined and wholesome innovations of the most desirable kind, and tho select bill of fare which the English Pierrots present will doubtlessly go a long way towards the forthcoming season being as highly appreciated as the previous "ones. The novel methods adopted by this merry band of entertainers must be seen to be appreciated. v When it is mentioned that the English Pierrots have been appearing continuously for the past seventeen years, during the summer seasons at their pavilion at St. Kilda, Melbourne, and are still as popular as when they made their reputation in England, it will be understood what a talented organisation are about to visit Otaki. The box plan is at Isherwood’s. PICTUEES.
