The Digger will be taken to Wellington by Nat AVilliams to compete at the 1 coming race meeting. At a meeting of the Wellington District Committee the inquiry into the Avondale incident was concluded. Jockey L. Manson was suspended for the remainder of the season for breaking an engagement to ride, and for refusing to attend a meeting of the Avondalo Club. Jockeys A. and R. Reed were severely censured for breaking an engagement to ride. "Templar" is responsible for the statement that Amythas will not be taken to Australia for the V.R.C. Spring Meeting, but will sport silk at Riccarton next November.
