PEACE TERMS.

GERMAN SOFT PEDAL. Loudon, July -l. The “Daily Mail” Spa correspondent interviewed the German Foreign Minister, Von Simmons, who declared that Germany must fulfil the Peace Treaty as far us possible, but it cannot make proposals to that end, unless the Allies give practical help and assist to preserve Germany’s working capacity. Labour must be encouraged, fed, and supplied with raw materials. He hoped that German industry would be able to discharge its obligations, but it must be permitted to work in peace and tranquillity. He trusted that discussions would be conducted with mutual understanding, aiming only to heal humanity’s terrible war wounds.
