9 ♦— Although Saturday turned out a very £ ood golfing day, the morning was threatening, and the Hutt team who arrived by the mail train to I'lay their annual contest with the. Otaki Cluo was three men short. After a very interesting- struggle Otaki emerged victorious by five matches to four. Kirk, the Hutt captain, was beaten by Tonihi on the last oreen after a very close match. Particulars are as follow, the Hutt teams being mentioned first: Kirk lost to Tonihi. J. A. Biss won from Gray. Egan won from P. .Simcox. Judd lost to Hopkins. Pair lost to S. Simcox. won from Podevm. McKenna lost to M. Simcox. L W. Biss lost to St. George. Townsend won from Sievers.
