MAOEILAND PICTURES. The second of the series of "Wolves of Kultur" will bo shown to-morrow, aud will be supported by other very fino films. Ou Thursday a lip-top programme v. ill fill the bill. TUB ENGLISH PIERROTS. Mr Victor Beck, the well-known theatrical manager, who recently tourid the "Diggers" (laic New Zealand I Divisional Pierrots) through th« (Dominion, lias completed arrangements for the appearance of tho Famous Eng--1 lish Picrrols in Otaki on Monday next. It may be recalled that Mr Beck has introduced many excellent untertainmenix in this country, all of which have proved to be of the highest standard. The English Pierrots are not • trangcr.—having tourncd New Zealand daring the past twelve years. The "New Zealand Time*" in commenting on the production said:—"The Town Hall Concert Chamber was crowded last nigbt when the English Pierrots gavo their first change of programme. The entertainment provided was of absorb' ing interest and the various performers individually and collectively added substantially to the good impressions already made by them. As before, the programme throughout was highly spaced with humorous sketches and bright choruses, and there was always brisk action to hasten on the merriment provoked. Mr David Lylo'.s sweet tenor voice was heard to much advantage in "A Spirit Flower." which was warmly encored; Miss Edith Harold was much appreciated in her fine rendering of "The Little Damozel," and Mr Kay Cooke gave an admirable performance of "Onaway Anake." Miss ! Billie Wilson was perfectly charming i in the cboras song "Snooks'." and afterwards gave one of her inimitable impersonations of a child Kinging a song. Miss Elxa Langiey "-.hone in her impersonation—" Army of To-day"— and joined with the atxooft aucccas in the duet "If yon were the Duly Girl" with Mr Leslie Austin. A humorous -kfcteh entitled "Vthu'li bout ii'Door?" was foraifked by Miss Lang-l'-y, Messrs AustirX arid Turner. Messrs. Mitchell, Lawrence, and Turner wert» at their best in tae trio, "Rival Singers." Mr dearies Lawrence wan highly Mtertaiulng sit the plan© with bis nrcsieal monologue "Exits," and Miss Shirley Cooke, Mr Louis Mitchell, ar.d Mr W. P. Turner contributed very acceptable item*. The plantation teem "Oklahoma's Rose," by the majority of the company, was a great feature, dad tie bright iaree at the end—"A Barber'* Scop" cent the audience avky in the very best of hntasrarss.
