Mrs Coley, who has been spending a few days with Mrs ColoncJ Corrigan, has returned home. Mr Harold Corrigan, son of Colonel Corrigan, is at present on a visit to “Heatherlea,” Otaki Gorge. Mr Percy Bennett, of Otaki. motored through to Hastings yesterday. He was accompanied by Mr CoAtkins, of Manakau. Mr Alf. Atkins, of Levin, has pur chased Mrs Sout bee's residence and property at Manakau, and will shortly take np residence again at Manakau. Manakau residents will be glad to wed come him back again in their midst. Miss Roberts, who has been acting as relieving assistant teacher at the Otaki .State school, has left Otaki. her place being filled by another relieving : teacher, Miss Campbell, of Paekakuriki. Sister Lewis has returned to Otaki. and resumed her duties as district, nurse, after a month’s well-earned holiday, which was spent in InvercargillDunedin, and other parts of the South Island. Mrs Donald McLachlan, mother o' Mr Duncan McLachlan, of Maslcrton. and grandmother to Mr -N". F. Cham berlain, iato of Otaki, died at Wan * gaitui on Monday last, at the great ag< of 95 years. She came to Mew Zcelain. with her husband 70 years ago. The wedding took place at the Anglican Church, Otaki, yesterday morning of William Henry Philip Arnold Kershaw, of Otaki, and Muad Mary dun;., late of Fulham (England). The Kev. G. F. Petrie, M.A., performed the c-erc monv, while Mr A. J. Shear go Id. ol Levin, gave the bride away. ML.es Olive Kershaw and Rene Slieargolb were the bridesmaids. Last night Mr and Mrs Kershaw entertained a number of friends at their home, Tc Mauuao.
