MAORILAND PICTURES.

“the Hoodlum.” Mary Pickford in “The Hoodlum” is a muddy heroine with a lofty purpose, and this adaptation of a famous story, “Burkes' Amy,” makes her second production from her own studio a sensational achievement. The little world-star bus, in her relatively short career, played many parts, but never has she so eclipsed herself as in “The Hoodlum,” veritably a picture of contrasts. t?he reaches heights' undreamed of, and shows that she possesses the rare gift of versatility in a degree that is, to say the least, astounding. If it were possible to add lo the number of her millions-of admirers, “The Hoodlum” will achieve that end. and will do more to render the name of Mary Pickford a monument of success and admiration than any previous effort. The picture will be shown to-morrow night.
