THE WEATHER.

Following on a period of ten days ’ beautiful weather, rain has fallen every day since last Saturday, and oven now it does not appear that the rain has ceased. Mr IV. B. Smith informs us that tho barometer reading on the 22nd insi. was 28.92, the lowest for several years. Owing to floods up the Main Trunk line, the express trains were held up , for several hours yesterday. The Te Kuiti water supply lias been damaged by floods, the main being ear- I ried away at one place.
