MANAWATU SHOW.
(The eighteenth National Dairy Show wus opened on Tuesday. Torrential j rain fell throughout the night and I early morning, and the weather con- ! tinueil showery during the day. The annual jneeting of the National Dairy Association, which was held, wa largely attended, and the influx of visi tors to the town is abnormal. To-day is people’s day, the principal attraction being the football match between the Wanganui Collegiate School and the Te Ante College teams. EUTTEK RESULTS.
The results of the butter-fat competitions held in connection with the above, caused hecu competition, and the make and Jinish of all exhibits left practically nothing to bus desired. The I Levin Dairy Co. was .successful in wiuI ning the championship. For the best box of butter, salted, •suitable for export, and open to all factories in New Zealand, there was good competition. CJolden Day headed thu list with y.j points, Levin tying for

Cheddarshaped cheese, suitable for export, coloured, Tc Iloro was seventh, and Kuku ninth out of 22 entries; for best ease full cream N.Z. Cheddar-shaped cheese, white. Kuku and Tc Iloro were sixth and eighth respectively; for best ca»e factory cheese, fully matured, any colour, Kuku was fourth and To Iloro eleventh; for best case of cheese, not more than I(50lb and not, less than 801 b, irrespective of colour or shape, open to member* of N.Z. Dairy Factory Managers 3 Association, Kuku was sixth; for best case export factory cheese, any colour, open to any factory manager not having won a prize to the value of £d at any show al lime of entry, Mannkau was fourth; for best, case export factory cheese, any colour, made by checsemaker or factory manager N first assistant, Manakau was seventh and Kuku twelfth; while for four best loaf cheeses Kuku was fifth.
