OTAKI RATEPAYERS’ ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of the committee of the above was held at the Town Board offices, Otaki, on Monday night last, when Mr J. S. Pole presided. the meeting discussed the proposed Wizard street lights, and passed a resolution to the effect that the Board should consider (ho matter more fuliy bel’ore they expended such a big sum as that entailed by the installation of a number of these lights. The meeting felt that it would be wiser and much cheaper to extend the present acetylene light installation. The committee discussed a. number of minor improvements which it was thought should be effected. Mr Pole was deputed to wait on the Board at its next meeting, and make representations to that, body rc the matters under discussion.
