But while the old 1 people are well cared Tor and many institutions exist and are boing organised for the accommodation and recreation of our youug men and women, thpre is need for more accommodation for our destitute and orphaned' cbil'dron. At present children have often 1 to be sent to Wellington and to more distant homes, where they arc quite out of reach of those interested in theij \Volfare. The Willard Home and Orphanage which is at present being organised in Palmerston North wdl supply this need with regard to chijdreu. It has for its aims a twofold need in child life. 1. The providing of a homo for destitute children from infancy. 2. To give temporary relief and ; accommodation to children who =c parents cannot care for them through sickness or other causes. The Wilii rd Home will be undenomination: 1, and its activities for tbe present v.. 1 Ibe limited to the Palmerston North Hospital Board district, which Includes the following counties: Polinagjna, Oroua, Kuiraugn, Kiwitea, Marawatu, Horowhcuua, with the towns as under: Fcilding, Bovin, Otaki, Foxtc i. Shannon. Halcombs, Palmerston Not in, Manakau, Apiti.
