$ PEDIGREE JERSEY SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Wellington, report that on Thursday, 27th instant, they in conjunction with Abraham and Williams, Ltd., held a dispersal sale at Te Horo on behalf of the estate late H. 1). Harkncss. This sale created a considerable amount of interest, and was attended by buyers from all parts of the Nor iff Island, and proved to-be the most successful sale yet held iu the Dominion for pedigree Jersey cattle. The late Mr Harkuess was a keen lover of the Jersey, and spared no time or expense iu building up the herd which contained the very best strains. His excellent judgment was clearly demonstrated on Thursday last. The bidding was keen and prices realised constituted a record. The highest priced cow, Cuba Gipsy, was knocked down al 300 guineas.
