Mr H. Nieolson. of Otaki, is on a visit to Clarcville. Carterton.

Mr A. Mcßuiu, of Lower Mutt, is on a visit to Levin, staying with Mr Harry George. Miss Scaly (matron of the Otaki Hospital and Sanatorium) has resumed her duties at Otaki, after her usual vacation. Messrs Harry and AViy. Signal, of l'oxtou, have taken up residence at Te Horo, they having secured a dairy farm in that locality.

Mr Massey announces that in the re construction of the Ministry Sir AVil liaui Merries will undertake the port lolio ol Labour.

Messrs L. J. liilmistcr aud Geo. Tantrum. of Otaki, intend visiting Australia for a holiday, about the beginning next- mouth.

. Mrs Latham, of Maaakau. Who has been an inmate of the Otaki private hospital for some little time past, and recently underwent a serious operation, is now doing very nicely, we arc glad to report.

(Mr Eric Howell, of Pitraparauatu. who met with a nasty accident on Wednesday last, is making a good recovery. Mr AV. J. Howell, who suffered from shock as a result of the same accident, is also much better now. it is gratifyiug to say.

Among visitors at. the Olaki seaside resort during tile past week are Mr and Airs W. Ji. BeiiueH and family (Palmerston North), Mr and Airs George and family (Palmerston North), and -Mr Koval (Napier).
