OTAKI FIRE BRIGADE.
[ The monthly meeting of the above was held on Monday night, when t.'nptain Bassett presided over a small at tendance of members. A letter was received from the Tow.n Board, stating that the Brigade’s ap-. plication for a subsidy had been held over until tho estimates for the year were framed. Fireman Mathie was granted his twoyears service bar. He has now sever years’ service to his credit. The Brigade decided to order an e\ tension ladder for use by the Brigade, j Four new members were proposed.
