WEDDING.
KING—MURRAY. A pretty wedding was celebrated at J Otaki on tho 6th May, when Miss j Vera M. Murray, youngest daughter j of Mr and Mrs G. Murray, of Otaki, j was married to Mr Robert R. King, j second son of Mrs AV. Oliver, of To- J kokini, AVaipawa. Tho bride was given j away by her father, and was tastefully i attired in a smart black and white 1 check costume, with white georgette I vest and old gold facings. With this j she wore a mole-coloured tagel straw j toque with spray of violets. Miss Deasoit, of Wellington (chief bridesmaid), wore a grey gabardine costume i with shoes and stocking eu suite, and a pretty black lace hat with blue trimmings. Miss Isoline King, sister of the bridegroom, wore a pretty little frock of deep cream voile, with trimmings of blue and a pretty blue hat. The bride and bridesmaids carried handsome shower bouquets, mado by Mrs Norgrovc. The duties of best man wore carried out by Mr William King, brother of the bridegroom,‘and Mr Malcolm Murray was groomsman. The bridegroom’s present to his bride was a handsome gold wristlet watch, to the chief bridesmaid a beautifully-engrav-ed silver jewel casket, and to tlic second bridesmaid a pretty gold brooch set with rubies aud diamonds.
A sumptuous repast was severed at the rcsideucc of the bride’s parents, where the usual (oasts were honoured. A lovely wedding cake and a largo floral bell were the centre of attraction, as were also the beautiful floral decorations, which were most artistically carried out iu whito oosmas and coloured chrysanthemums, with trails of ivy leaves. The bride’s mother wore a rich black silk dress, aud tho bride groom *3 mother j smart tailored mivy costume, with large black hat with pink trimmings; Mrs W • I’ctrowsUi (sister of the bride), navy costume and large black hat. Many useful aud handsome, presents
were received by the. young couple, which testified to the esteem in which they were held. They left by motor amidst showers of confetti aud good wishes on their honeymoon, which will be an extended tour of the North. Their in.me homo will be at Waipawa.
