' At the Addingtoc market to-day the ■yardicg of fat stock was smaller than psual, and fur prime bcof and mutton there was a good market, but superior btuff was in l'oor request. Store Sheep.—There was an average yarding, the sale being more animated than last week. Forward wethers were in r «od demand, and generally the market was firmer for all classes. Forward lambs made lP.s to 21s 4d. ordinary lambs 14s 9d to 19s. cull lambs 4s 9d to 12s, good two and four-tooth owes S2s 2d, two, four, six and eight-tooth BWCS 25s to 28s, inferior four. six and eight-tooth ewes ISs 9d to 24s 3d, four and five-year ewes 20s 6d to 25s od, good four, six and eight-tooth wethers 29s 6d to 335, ordinary four, six and eight-tooth wethers 26s 6d to 28s, good two-tooth wethers 29s 9d, ordinary twotooth wethers 22s 6d to 265. Fat Lambs.-An easier sale. Only one freezing buyer was operating, and the bulk of the lighter sorts went to glaziers. Extra prime lambs made 34s to 35s 2d. prims lambs 27s 3d to 32s 3d, medium lambs 24s 9d to 26a 6d, lighter lambs 20s 7d to 245. Fat Sheep.—The yarding of prime sheep being not more than butchers' requirements, met with a firm market. Extra prime wethers made 46s 6d to oos 63, prime wethers SSs to 43s Id, medium wethers 32s 6d to 375, lighter wethers 27s 9d to 31s 6d. extra prime ewes 4-s 3fl to 46s (id. prime ewes 35s to 41s, medium ewes 31- 6d to 34s 6d, lighter ewes 21s 3d to 30.-. Fat Cattle.—There was an improved sale for prime beef, equal to quite twentv shillings ok last week's sale?: Superior sorts were not in request. Extra prime steers made to £2B ss. prirao eteors £l9 to £24 15s. medium steers £ls to £lB Od, lighter steers £ll 17s 6d to £l4 15s. prime heifers £l3 5s to £2O 15s. ordinary heifers £9 5s to £l2 17* 63, prime cows £l3 10s to £l'} 17s 6d, ordinary cows £6 7s 6d to £32 10s. Store Cattle.—A weak sale. A line of 21-year-oia staeis brought £S 7s 6d. ■yearlings made £2 to £3 15s, potters £5 to £6.
Dairy Cattle.—There was poor competition. Second calvcrs brought up to £l7' ss. fourth calvcrs up to £l2. Fat Pigs.—The supply was large, vrith a big proportion of unfinished sorts. The demand was weak, and lighter classes did not reach lOd per lb, cheppcT.s made £7 to £lO 4s, extra heavy baconers £6 to £7. others £5 5s to £5 15 s (average price per lb Is), heavy porkers £4 5s to £4 10s, others £3 5* to £3 15* (average price per lb IOJd to lid).
