MANAGER AND DIRECTORS RESIGN. Considerable surprise was expressed in business circles on Thursday (says the "Post") when if was learned that Sir James Wilson. Kt.B. (chairman). Messrs H. J. Richards. John BabilliV. and Thomas Moss, together with the general manager of the company (Mr A. Leigh Hunt), had reliquished their offices in the N.Z. Farmers' Co-opera-tive Distributing Co. Sir James Wilson (who is also President of the Hoard of Agriculture and of the Farmers' Union) ant i Messrs Richards, nalsillto, and Leigh Hunt have been connected with the company sin, e its inception nearly twenty years ago. The com pany had a very modest beginning when, af a meet in;;- of ten farmers of Otaki. it was propose,-,! by Mr A. Leigh II "tit and seconded by Mr 11. Immediately afterwards tbe company was organised by Mr Leigl Hunt, with the assistance of the N.Z [•'armors' Union.
