RANGIURU KNITTING CLUB.
* The Rangiuxu Knitting Club has at fast ceased its activities'. For some considerable time. especially- during the war period, members of the club worked in a most strenaoast way for the welfare of the boy,» on active service,, catering for many loc*l boys, *nd particularly those who were practically devoid of friends. Needles* to say all gift* sent to the front were thoroughly appreciated, and the club received amscrous letters thanking the member* for ♦fceir~^2? <i "L Sv'4 siting how LTneh they appreciated the gifts f.? c " There bein no need to "carry on" further, the committee of the clsb recently had a final meeting and disposed of their good?, which realised the stun of £l3. Ti;-' has now been given towards the Oteki peace memorial. On Friday members of the committee met at Mrs Hodgson's residence, when Uui decision was arrived at. Afternoon tea v.-as dispensed by Mrs Hodgson, to the evident enjoyment of all.
