DEELJ3Y FOUND DEAD. SUICIDE IN THE CELL. Harry Dcelcy, who had been take to Wellington on 12th inst. on renin:

After the meal they arc given an hour in which to put ll.ei. cells in order and make up their beds, and the doors are again unlocked a! 7.5. i a.m.

There was nothing untoward in Deeley's manner when his cell was first; opened in the morning, and lie took his breakfast: as usual, bid when the warder again unlocked the door he found Deeley hanging dead from one of the window louvres. The .prisoner had torn up one of his sheets into strips, and, after breaking a pane of glass in his cell window, tied one end of the sheeting to a bar outside the window, arranged a noose round his neck, and jumped oil' his be.!. Hewas found with his feet a few inches off the floor, quite dead. As Deeley was merely on remand he was treated as an '"ordinary prisoner, as it is only in the ease of a prisoner condemned to death that a wind i is specially detailed to watch the c. I; night and day. As far as is at present known Deeley made no confession or otherwise of his guilt.
