PUNCH —TOMPSITT. The wedding look place on Tuesday at St. Ann’s Church, Newtown, of Miss . Eileen Tompsitt. elder daughter of Mr I and Mrs \V. Tompsitt, for many years *• liighlv respected residents of Otaki am 'now ‘of Wellington, to Mr J. Pierce /Punch, eldest son of Mr and Mrs J. /Punch, of Ractilii. the De;in Mc ‘ Wen mi ollieinlbig. The bride, who was riven away by her father, wore a •charming gown of pearl satin with .Grecian draping* of Preach lace, the corsage being of luce veiled in georgette raid finished with pearls. The long train, which fell from the shoulders was of white kilted georgette over palest pink accordcon-pleut.od georgette finished with a spray of orange (blossom. The bridal veil was finished

with a coronet of pearls orange blossoms, while a shower bouquet of pink and white completed a charming toilet. The bridesmaid. Miss Essie

Tompsitt. sister of the bride, was gowned in lavender crepe-de-eltene, with hat on suite, and carried a posie Of pink with lavender streamers. Mr jC. O’Regan was best man. After the Ceremony the guests were entertained :it the residence of the bride’s parents, the usual toasts being honoured. Later in the day the young couple left. for 'Auckland and Rotorua, the bride travelling in a navy costume, embroidered in fawn mid blue, and a fawn hat ■underlined with blue. The brideovooui’s gilt to the bride v.is a di.i Wood pendant, and to the bridesmaid -JI solid silver toilet set. The bride’s gift to the bridegroom was a gold hunting watch. Mr and Mrs Punch wore the recipients of many handsome

presents and also received numerous jeongratulnfory telegrams.
