The Horowhentta County Council meets to-morrew morning at Levin.
At Waruganui three waterside workers were charged with the theft, of seven cases of benzine from a railway truck. One of their number. Charles Stewart Boyle, is the owner of a motor ear and was”tlio instigator of the theft. He was sentenced to 1-t days’ imprisonment. Fred. Nelson was fined £3 and .Tames Ross £3. Ross expresed some doubt- as to his ability to find the money, so Boyle pulled out a handful of notes and paid the fine.
A newly married couple from Tinui (Wairarapa) had a rather unfortunate beginning on Tuesday.
