METEOROLOGICAL.
During the past month there were only eight days with rain at Otaki. The total for the month was 2.7(fin, of which nearly half fell on the 19th (I.2ilin). Practically the whole month's rain fell on three days, ISth, 19th, and 20th. In March of last year the total rainfall was L'.."i7in, and the average of March for the last sixteen years was 2.(54 inches.
