OLYMPIC GAMES.

A QUESTION OP FINANCE. Wellington, March 22. At a meeting of the Olympic Sports Council of New Zealand to-night it was stated that the following competitors have been nominated to compete at the Olympia sports: Wilson (hurdles), Davidson and Lindsay (sprinting), Hadfield (rowing), Misses V. Waldron and G. Shand and G. Atkinson (swimming). The chairman said that funds would be required to send this team away, and it bad been decided to ask the newspaper proprietors to open subscription lists; also the New Zealand Swimming Association and otuor sports bodies throughout the Dominion. The Government will be a-ked to subsi disc the amount collected. All sports clubs arc t. Q be asked to inaugurate a Is collection list ■amongst members.
