LONDON WOOL SALES. PRICES ON THE RISE. Messrs Dalgefy and Co., Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London office, under date of ,15th insb:— “Wool sales

opened. Attendance of buyers is large, competition is animated, and the selection is fair. Continental buyers arc buying more freely. As compared with last sale’s closing rates, good merino wools are 5 per cent higher, merino wools of other description 5 per cent to 7J per cent, higher, crossbred wools of fine quality 5 per cent higher, crossbred wools of medium and coarse qualify are unchanged, but, meet with more competition.”
