RIFLE SHOOTING.

LEVIN DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB. On Saturday afternoon the Levin Defence Rifle Club continued its trophy shooting by tiring the fourth and fifth competitions a; .lot) and ”00 yards ranges of the second series of trophies. The afternoon was tine, but there was a tricky wind blowing, and the light was very bright, which meant hard shooting: in consequence the scores were only fair. Rifleman L. Ingram was top sr-oi.r for the day with a total of 8S points. The conditions were 10 shots and sigliter at fIUO and 700 yards

The loiJov.hig- riflemen won trophies in the second series of competitions:— Rifleman C. Ingrain rakes first with 363 points: Rifleman Jones, second trophy with 331 points, and Rifleman G. Catley third with 349 points. Followin'! are the’aggregates of the second series of trophies:—

The latter only fired la four eompeiitiojns. Next Saturday the Levin Defence Rifle Club will lire a juaieh with Hantere Club on the Levin range for the Fresh Food and Ice Company’s Cup.
