FLAX AGREEMENT.
Jn the Industrial agreement made between the Xtv. Zealand Fluxmillers’ Association and the Manawatu FlaxTinlls-' Employees' Industrial Union of Workers on March Ist. the following conditions of rates of pay. etc., were agreed to:—Day work. 15s 6d per day: feeders. 2s per hoar; stripper keeper. ‘2s (id extra; horse drivers, £4 11s per week: automatic scutchers. 17s and ISs per ton; hand scutchers. 01s 6d per ton; paddocking, with carting. 03s per ton summer and 46s winter: paddocking, without carting. 24s summer and 27s winter, compulsory stacking. 2s Pd per ton for compulsory stacking of fibre to be added to paddocking rate; fiaxeufting. fid per ton increase or. ail blocks at present being cut only, minimum. Ss fid: tramming. 3d per ion increase where old rate has nor been restored. The rate to be charged for board to be 24s per week. This agreement may be terminated by •"<> Gsc-m notice bv either side of their intuition to do so, and a conference of Ito be called immediate: r t<! <l.O-1 with any issue that way
