OTAKI GYMNASIUM CLUB
A meeting of members of the Otaki Gymnasium Club was held in the Druids' Hall on TVidny night, when there were less than a do/en members present. Mr T. B. Bax. president of the club, presided, and in his opening remarks stated that the meeting was held in respouse to a letter from the Levin Club, who now desired the return of material loaned io the club. Mr Bax explained that while part of the apparatus was at the Town Hull, there was some also at the barracks, and it was now for the meeting to say what stops should be taken. The books of tUe club had been left with him. and although he had not examined them he understood they showed a credit balance in hand.
It was decided that the mate-rial be collected, repaired, and forwarded to the Levin Club as early as possible. Messrs Bax, Fisher and Williams to attend to the matter.
It. was decided to thank the Levin Club for their kindness in lending the apparatus to the club.
Mr G. H. Fisher was appointed secretary of the club. A discussion followed concerning the coming season, and a hope was expressed that the «lub would be put on a, sound footing. The membership was considered as good as guaranteed, but the question of a suitable hall proved the. main obstacle. As far as material was concerned it was generally considered the public would assist. Mr Fisher (the secretary) offered to mak"e inquiries re hall. etc.. prior to calling the annual meeting of the club.
