MANAKAU V. SHANNON. A return match with Shannon Tennis Club was played at- Mauakau on Wednesday last. when Mauakau won by I<> or '■* games. The visitors were well looked after, having arrived in .molor cats early in the afternoon. A most enjoyable time was spent, and although Mann kau. won Fu-ie were \crv dose contests in some of the matches'. Air Mickle (secretary of the local club) expressed the ideasure of having tlie 'isitors down, and called for cheers for shannon Club. Mr Bov is replied for Shannon, and [hanked the hosts for their kindness and hospitality during a very pleasant afternoon’s tennis.
