Mrs Nicolson, sen., of "Melverton," Mrs J. J. Gravcstoek, of "Bransfield Lodge," Opaki, who have been holiday-making in Otaki, returned to the Wairarapa. yesterday.
Judge Gilfedder, of the Native Land Court, intends to resign from his position shortly. He will probably take up a practice as solicitor in Gisborne.

In the first draft of stations adopted at the Auckland Conference The death took place at Foxton on Sunday of Mrs Elizabeth Jane Gray, wife of Mr R. E. pniy, after a long and painful illness. The deceased was , born at. Hclliors (Jersey) in 1547, and was for some time headmistress of the Blenheim State school. Upon taking up residence in Foxton she devoted a deal of time to music, and her pupils proved successful at various examinations. The funeral took plate on Wednesday.
