Constable Donoghue, of Foiton, is at present relieving Constable Bath*rUy, who has left for Blenheim ca a business trip. Mr and Mrs Skinner (at oae time in business in Otaki) are norr residing In Hastings, where they intend fo purchase a business. Mrs Palmer, who Las been on an extended trip to Australia for health reasons, leaves for homo to-day, but as she will call at Tasmania and South Island ports it will yet be some time before she arrives in Otaki.

The engagement is announeed of Miss Dorothy Elizabeth Cork, second daughter of *Mr and Mrs H. H. Cork, Kemuera, Auckland, to Mr Clarence Holdaway, only son of Mr and Mrs Holdaway, of Levin.
