Constable Donoghue, of Foiton, is at present relieving Constable Bath*rUy, who has left for Blenheim ca a business trip. Mr and Mrs Skinner (at oae time in business in Otaki) are norr residing In Hastings, where they intend fo purchase a business. Among the visitor* to Otaki to-day are Sister Daris, of the Weiliugtoc Hospital stiff, and Mr S. W. Bapiey, of Palcferstoa North, Tz.h Pabnersfon legal firm of Cooper, Butherfnrd. and Bapiey intend to open a branch in Fozton, us,i tot this pnrposo cave taksn into partnership Mr K. H. DanielL who will toanags the Foxton office. Mr Daniel! is a sou ef Mr C. E. Daniell, of Stasterton, chairman of the Wellington Harbour Board. Mrs Palmer, who Las been on an extended trip to Australia for health reasons, leaves for homo to-day, but as she will call at Tasmania and South Island ports it will yet be some time before she arrives in Otaki.
The engagement is announeed of Miss Dorothy Elizabeth Cork, second daughter of *Mr and Mrs H. H. Cork, Kemuera, Auckland, to Mr Clarence Holdaway, only son of Mr and Mrs Holdaway, of Levin.
