A SEA MYSTERY.

A remarkable incident of the sea occurred recently at the Scilly Islands. A three-masted fore and aft-rigged schooner was seen to the north of the islands, near Shipman Head, Brighter Island. By her behaviour it was apparent that she was in difficulty, and probably derelict. On approaching her the latter was-found to be the case, and on boarding her the Brighter men were astonished to find that, though the crew had left her, everything was in perfect order, and the ship tv&s ia no way damaged. Tee sails were furled, and all the bonis were on board, including a smart motor launch. What can have happened to the crew or what caused them to leave the ship, which was laden with wool, is not known. The ship, which was brought to a safe anchorage, was the ilaricn G. Douglas.
